All Kinds of Music
By Bonnie Whitehurst
Illustrations by Leah Lopez
Can you imagine a day in your life without music? Whether you realize it or not, it’s all around you!
A bird sings its song outside your window. Breezes blow through a nearby wind chime. A train whistle sounds its mighty horn.
This rhyming book, with its beautiful illustrations, will open young minds to the possibility of hearing each sound in the day as part of a musical treasure box.
It can be read to small children by a parent or caregiver, and self-read by children a bit older.
The book includes four pages of open-ended questions to guide the imagination of a reader or listener.
It is also a wonderful tool for media specialists, music teachers, and perfect for a substitute teacher lesson plan.
